Oblation is a linear dark fantasy VN set in a fantasy world inspired by 18th-century France.
A young nobleman, Leon, determined with saving the humanity of the people around him, and a knight, Alexander, sworn to protect him. A large religious movement threatens the country, it is unknown for what reason they are converting others to their faith, but Leon will not stand for it. Will they have the power and determination it takes to save their world bereft of saviors?

So, I noticed that Leon looks older/more built in the title screen illustration.
Assuming this isn't spoiler territory, is there a time skip/training montage/supernatural event planned in the future to explain this?
I can't go into detail but there will be a brief time skip later down the line

Hello, I liked your novel very much. I'm a translator from Russia, and I'm part of a project that translates short stories for Russian mortals, and I'd really like to translate your short story into Russian, can I do that?
like seriously. Ive been reading vns for years... and i've never once read one that opened with such.... intensity. Especially one that I connected with so thoroughly. Believe you me, I was INVESTED.
But it was more than that. The Author portrayed my own father in exact detail. except... instead of his.... behavior caused by the loss of another, it was in fact due to me being gay.
As much as it hurt to read this, it put things into perspective for me. even with such a short intro to the VN, I will definitely be here for the long haul.

I'm loving the setup so far! A good start always leaves you with questions.
Not to nag, but it actually could be "seal." All it would take is the removal of the comma. (If it stays in, then, yes, "sealed" is the correct version)
For example, remove "lash out against our servants, and" and you get, "He would seal himself away in his study for days on end."
No you're right, it's just the first thought that came to mind as the current version was incorrect. :) It's funny because I had thought that "would seal himself away" as another alternative.

The French revolution was in the 17th century and ended in the same century my guy
the 1700's are 18th century.
